Lucas Salinas (Turón, Mieres, 1993) is a photographer based in Vigo. He holds a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Salamanca and has worked with analogue photography for more than ten years.
His work centres on long-term series. Among them Escarmiento, on the industrial skeletons of Turón—the valley where he grew up—and on El Terronal, the abandoned mercury mine in the Mieres basin: ground declared contaminated that has never been cleaned up and to which he returns each year to photograph the same structures.
He also produces electronic music and runs the label Bruto Industries. He works professionally in 3D design and audiovisual production.
